Crowne Plaza Leeds (6 nights)
The tour will commence at the Crowne Plaza Leeds, our hotel for the next six nights. For those arriving early in the day, there’s time to explore Leeds before a short welcome briefing with our CATO Tour Director. This evening we attend the Official Ashes Function to get a superb insight into our cricket celebrities’ thoughts on the Series ahead and Day One at Headingley.
The start of another exciting Test! Each day we will be transferred well in advance of the start of play for the Third Ashes Test at Headingley, with a return transfer to your hotel at the end of each days play.
The Europa Hotel (2 nights)
Our Irish adventure starts this morning. After breakfast we transfer to Leeds Bradford airport for the short flight over the Irish Sea to Belfast, the Capital of Northern Ireland. On arrival in Belfast we enjoy a short orientation tour of the city including a visit to the Titanic Museum, the world’s largest Titanic visitor attraction. This afternoon there is time to freshen up before we experience a traditional Irish dinner at a local Belfast restaurant.
Hide infoAfter breakfast we head to the Northeast Coast of Northern Ireland to view “The Giant’s Causeway”, an awe-inspiring basalt rock formation which materialised as the result of an ancient volcanic eruption 50-60 million years ago. We will then tour this striking area before heading back to Belfast, taking in some of Northern Irelands most scenic areas along the way.
The Ardilaun Hotel (1 night)
This morning we start the journey west by coach towards Galway, a harbour city where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. Known as the festival capital of Ireland creating a lively atmosphere combined with stunning scenery. The city’s hub is the 18th century Eyre Square, a popular spot surrounded by shops and traditional pubs often offering live Irish folk music. On arrival in Galway you are free to explore the city at your leisure.

Today we continue our tour of the Emerald Isle and head towards Killarney a vibrant town brimming with history located on the shores of Lough Leane. We stop along the way for a lunch and take in some of Ireland’s beautiful countryside. This evening is at your leisure to explore Killarney.
After breakfast we will tour the Ring of Kerry, a 179km circular tourist route which takes in some of Ireland’s most beautiful sights including Moll’s Gap, Torc Waterfall and Gap of Dunloe. The Ring of Kerry is part of the mystical and unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years - each turn offers a new treat for the eye. The evening is at your leisure to explore the sights of Killarney and meet the enthusiastic and welcoming people.
The Morrison Dublin, Curio Collection by Hilton (2 nights)
Today we head to Dublin, the Capital of Ireland, and one of the world’s most popular cities. Filled with vibrant art, historic buildings, “hip” cafes and traditional pubs - and packed with culture. We take a short stop along the way before arriving in Dublin where you can enjoy the evening at your leisure to explore the Temple Bar area – perhaps enjoy a jig to some traditional Irish music, and experience Dublin’s famous “rolling” nightlife.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we embark on a guided walk to visit the Guinness Storehouse - we step through the history and production methods of this iconic Irish Stout and partake in a wee sample as well. The afternoon is free to explore the highlights of Dublin. This beautiful city has so much to see and do - some of the must-see attractions include the Jamieson Distillery, St Patricks Cathedral, Old Gaol, Dublin Zoo, or enjoy afternoon tea in famous Bewleys Grafton Street Café.
Clayton Hotel Manchester (6 nights)
Our adventure to Ireland concludes today. After breakfast we will be transferred to Dublin airport for the short flight to Manchester.
On arrival there’s time to freshen up at the hotel before the Official Ashes Function in the evening to preview the Test ahead at Old Trafford.
The start of another exciting Test. Each day we will be transferred well in advance of the start of play of the Fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford, with a return transfer to your hotel at the end of each days play. On the night of Day Five (23 July), we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner with our new friends to share some unforgettable memories.
After breakfast, your tour will conclude at the hotel.
