The tour will commence at the Radisson Blu Birmingham, our hotel for the next six nights. For those arriving early in the day, there’s time to explore Birmingham before a short welcome briefing with our CATO Tour Director. This evening we attend the Official Ashes Function to get a superb insight into our cricket celebrities’ thoughts on the Series ahead and Day One at Edgbaston.

First Ashes Test - Edgbaston B
The start of another exciting Series! Each day you will be transferred well in advance of the start of play for the First Ashes Test at Edgbaston, with a return transfer to your hotel at the end of each days play.

Tuesday 6 AUGUST 2019
Birmingham - Amsterdam BD
Our European adventure commences this morning. After breakfast we transfer to Birmingham Airport for our flight to Amsterdam, known for its artistic heritage and iconic canal system. We arrive around midday, so if you choose, there’s plenty of time to explore Amsterdam prior to joining fellow tour participants for a group dinner in the evening.

WEDNESDAY 7 AUGUST 2019
Amsterdam Sightseeing B
Our day starts with a tour of beautiful Amsterdam, including a guided audio tour of the canals. Afterwards, we visit the Van Gogh Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh.

THURSDAY 8 AUGUST 2019

Amsterdam - Bruges B
After breakfast we commence the journey to Bruges. There’s time for a short stop in Antwerp, then we follow the spectacular scenery enroute to Bruges and our first night in this historic City.

Friday 9 AUGUST 2019
Bruges Sightseeing B
We wander through Bruges’ medieval cobblestone streets on a guided tour which will lead to many historical, architectural and artistic wonders. Marvel at the ornate houses lining intricate canals and experience the historical centre, Burg Square. You might even like to pop into one of the world renowned Belgian chocolatiers for a sample.

SATURDAY 10 AUGUST 2019
Bruges - Reims B
Our journey continues via Ypres and the Menin Gate Memorial which commemorates the Commonwealth Servicemen that lost their lives in the local battlefields. We also visit the Sir John Monash Centre, commemorating Australian servicemen and women who served on the Western Front during the First World War. For the afternoon we travel to Champagne Country and the historic city of Reims and our overnight accommodation.

SUNDAY 11 AUGUST 2019
Reims - Paris B
After breakfast we will visit one of the many famous Champagne Houses and sample the delightful wine that the region is famous for. Continuing, we travel to Paris where on arrival we have the remainder of the day to explore the city at our leisure. Paris has a huge amount to offer; Cathedral Notre Dame, La Basilique du Sacré Cœur de Montmartre, the district of Montmartre, are all easily accessible from the hotel.

MONDAY 12 AUGUST 2019

Paris Sightseeing BD
Today we take in Paris highlights on a guided city tour including the Arc De Triomphe, Champs Elysees and the Place De La Concorde. For this evening, we enjoy a dinner cruise on the River Seine, taking in the sights and sounds of this magical city from the water, including spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower.

TUESDAY 13 AUGUST 2019
Paris - London BC
This morning marks the conclusion of the European leg of our tour. We board the Eurostar for our journey to London where the Second Test awaits. There’s time to relax at the hotel on arrival, before we join fellow Australian cricket fans at the Official Ashes Pre Match Dinner to preview the Test ahead at Lord’s.

WEDNESDAY 14 AUGUST TO SUNDAY 18 AUGUST 2019
Second Ashes Test – Lord’s BD - 18 August
Possibly one of the highlights for any cricket enthusiast would be a trip to the home of cricket - Lord’s, add the fact that this is the Second Ashes Test and excitement will be at fever pitch! Each day we have private transfers to and from Lord’s and on the night of Day Five (18 August) we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at a local London restaurant to share some unforgettable memories.
